Hand Thrown Studio Pottery Vase Pink Sage Leaf

A tall hand thrown stoneware vase in the softest palette, dusty pink bands top and bottom against a warm cream ground, with a wrapping vine of sage green and salmon leaves painted freehand between two thin tan lines. The throwing rings are visible all the way up the body and the flared lip is finished by hand, so you can feel where the potter’s fingers were. Speckled clay shows through the glaze in places, which is exactly what you want from a studio piece. Unglazed sandy base with dark kiln specks and typical firing debris. Light age wear and glaze variation throughout, no chips or cracks noted. Beautiful with dried grasses or standing empty on a mantel, and right at home in a soft cottage or postmodern pastel room.
