Talavera Spoon Rest, Hand Painted Puebla Mexico

Hand painted Talavera pottery spoon rest from Puebla, Mexico, marked Hecho a Mano Pue. Mex. on the underside. Cobalt blue border with a bright folk art floral panel in coral, yellow, green and purple, plus a lattice section at the bowl end. Terracotta clay body with a glossy tin glaze. There is a hole drilled at the top of the handle so it can hang on the wall when it is not on the stove. Measures approximately 9 inches long by 4.5 inches wide.
