A striking Imari-palette porcelain charger by Toyo of Japan, in cobalt blue, white, and rust, centered with a pair of pheasants among peonies and chrysanthemums, framed by a scalloped border of alternating floral and geometric panels. A gorgeous statement piece for a cabinet of curiosities or grandmillennial wall display, and comes with its own display stand. Marked with a Toyo Japan sticker; normal age-appropriate craquelure in the glaze.
